Stimmi is a music-notation tuner for children and beginners. The app is built to work without collecting any data at all.
In short
- Stimmi does not collect, store, or share any personal data.
- There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no analytics services.
- All features run entirely on your device and work offline. The only internet connection the app makes is the update check described below.
Microphone
Stimmi needs microphone access to recognize which note you sing or play. All audio analysis happens in real time on the device. No recordings are stored and nothing is transmitted — the sound is analyzed and immediately discarded.
The microphone is the only permission Stimmi requests.
Local settings
Settings (for example how note names are written) are stored locally on the device only. They contain no personal data and never leave the device. Deleting the app removes them.
App updates (the only internet connection)
On launch, the app asks our technical service provider Expo (Expo Application Services, u.expo.dev) whether updated app content (JavaScript updates) is available and downloads it if so. For technical reasons, this transfers the device's IP address and technical details about the installed app version. This information is not used to identify anyone, is not combined with other data, and is not stored by us. There is no advertising, tracking, or analytics.
Children
Stimmi is made for children — which is exactly why there is no data collection, no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no external links. Since, apart from the update check described above, no data is processed or transmitted, Stimmi meets the requirements of the App Store and Google Play children's programs and of the GDPR by design.
Changes
Should these principles ever change, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect and the app version will be increased.
